Calixto Commends Pasay Police For Highest Solution Of Sensational Cases In Metro Manila


Regional Peace and Order Council Chairman and Pasay City Mayor Antonino Calixto commended the Pasay Police for registering the “Highest in the Solution of Sensational Cases for 2014” in the entire Metro Manila.

The commendation came as the Pasay Police Station, headed by Chief of Police Col. Joel Doria, was given the award during the 114th Police Service Anniversary Celebration last August 17, 2015 at the NCRPO Compound in Camp Bagong Diwa.

In the same ceremony, the City Police Station is also adjudged best in Past and Continuing Notable Accomplishments Beyond the Rating Period for Calendar Year 2014 for Metro Manila.

The Celebration and Awarding Ceremony was attended by DILG Secretary Mar Roxas together with top ranking PNP officials.

Mayor Calixto said that “it is imperative for Pasay, not just for being the ‘TRAVEL CITY’ of the Philippines, to make sure that all its residents as well as visitors, both foreign and local, feel safe in the City. It is for the basic necessity for peace, safety and security”.

Among the sensational cases solved by the Pasay-PNP include the Martilyo Gang MOA Robbery; the arrest of the Termite Gang that passes through tunnels and drainage systems to get to their targets; the confiscation of high quantity of illegal drugs and firearms; and the arrest of most the Top Most Wanted Persons in Pasay.

Meanwhile according to the All Crime Incidents Data by the Pasay-PNP, out of the 8,464 crimes reported from January to December 2014, 5,690 crimes or 67% have been already been solved. An average of 166 crimes a month have been reported by the Pasay-PNP

“It is our commitment to the people of Pasay to give them a safe and secure environment that is why we at the City Government, together with the Pasay Police, are working doubly hard to achieve this” Mayor Calixto said.
